Christmas 09

We were able to go to Pocatello the weekend before Christmas to celebrate with Bob's family. We did our usual gift exchange and had fun hanging with the family. Christmas Eve we went over to my sister's house to have dinner and play games while my mom was in town. Christmas day we went to my dad's house and opened presents and had dinner. I love Christmas, but am so glad it's over. Bring on next year!

NHRA

Our whole reason for going to Las vegas was that we were going to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the NHRA. Bob's friend Israel, who works for the Army Motorsports, invited us to come down and experience the drag racing and to get some VIP treatment. We spent a lot of time in the Army tent where Tony Schumacher gave a speech and we got to watch his crew work on his dragster. We also had a good lunch and were given an army hat and dog tag, which we ended up having Tony sign one. We also had a chance to meet some other drivers, Cory Mcclenathan and "Fast Jack" Beckman. Jack took us on a tour of one of his trailers and explained to us about all the parts, members of his crew, and all the money that goes into a 3 second race. This was probably one of the funnest parts of our trip and can't wait to go to another race!

Las Vegas 2009

So Bob and I went to Las Vegas for Halloween weekend. Bob's friend Israel works for the Army Motorsports and invited us to come watch the NHRA drag racing with VIP passes. Vegas was lots of fun! We stayed at the Luxor Hotel. We did a lot of walking, which I wasn't very smart in my shoe selection and ended up with a big blister on my foot. My first time gambling I put $20 in the slot machine and won $150 and bob won about another $85. We lost a little bit and then won some more on black jack and ended up even. We didn't see any shows, but we did go on the rollercoaster at New York, New York, which was our favorite place to go while we were there. We were walking down the strip and saw some people dressed up in these outrageous costumes, so Bob thought it was be fun for me to get a picture. The guy in the red was so creepy and would hiss as Bob took the picture. It was really cool to see all the costumes in Vegas, but we only dressed up for about 30 minutes and went back to our room. Bob was a Yankee ball player and I was a Fire Girl. Too bad we didn't get pictures. Next time we go I for sure want to go see a show, but we did enjoy ourselves and were glad we had the oppurtunity.

Fairchild clan

So we went to cheerleaders to watch the BSU vs. Maimi game and peyton couldn't keep his eyes off the waitresses. He kept wanting us to get a picture of them and I finally caught this one with him staring at one of them. He is so girl crazy!

Cousins Cody, Kalen and peyton. Not very often do they all get together so it was nice to have them around. We had gone to watch cody the night before to play football at Boise State Stadium. His team Capital beat Borah 47-0.

Bob's brother and dad came to Emmett for a motorcycle rally. They came to visit with us and watch the BSU game at Cheerleaders. Look how handsome these men are! It doesn't get any better then that.

Football Season

Peyton plays in the meridian optimist and his team name is Blue Thunder. This was his second football game. They lost by 6 but are starting to play a lot better. Peyton plays on the line with offense and defense. He is enjoying playing and we love to watch him.

We went over to our friends house to watch the BSU/OREGON game. I am glad that we won the game, but it was horrible to watch. 2 missed field goals, 3 fumbles and 2 missed snaps. I can't believe after all that we still won. Oregon was a disappointment. I expected a good game!

Bob Playing Baseball

Bob started playing baseball a few years ago with a couple people from work and some other guys that joined. His team plays in the spring and the fall. This season they are in the top division and haven't lost a game yet! It's fun to watch and I am really proud of him.

Nightfire Nationals

Bob and I went to the nightfire nationals to watch the drag racing. It was really loud once the nitrous cars were racing. It was a little disappointing though. We saw about 3 races in two hours because of all the clean up. I guess with the cold weather it was hard for the cars to stick to the track and can make it really dangerous. I didn't get to see the jelly belly wagon race though. If we would have stayed, we would have been there until 2 in the morning, no thanks!

We went to roaring springs this summer and enjoyed relaxing for a little bit. We didn't get to go on much rides, but it was a hot day and it was just nice to be in the water.

Bob, Peyton and I went to the Snake River Stampede to watch the horse and bull riding. We had a really good time. Gizmo the clown was our favorite part. This was a good family outing.

So we attempted to go bowling. Bob doesn't like to bowl very much so this was a special occasion. Peyton hasn't been bowling very often so it was a bit of a challenge for him, but I still had fun! I won both rounds.
So this is my first time to blogging and I don't take pictures very often, so I doubt this will be updated very much, but I am going to attempt to do my best with it, because I think its a good idea to have so family can be updated.
