My Finished Project!

I am so excited to have this project done! I think it turned out really cute and it's nice to finally have something on the wall. Just a few more things left to be completely ready for the baby!

Getting ready for Emmett!!

I am 28 weeks today. Well over halfway done. The baby is really active at this point and moving around all the time while I am sitting or laying down. We are getting so excited for the new addition to our family and it's going to sneak right up on us. We finally decided on a name for our sweet baby boy. His name will be Emmett Jay Fairchild, a.k.a. Our little Monkey! We have slowly, but surely, been getting the baby's room together. There are a few things here and there that we still need, but we are hoping we will be prepared once he arrives. Thanks to everyone for your love and support!

It's a BOY!

I had an ultrasound appointment yesterday to find out the gender of the baby @ 18 weeks. We were happy to find out the baby is going to be a sweet little boy! The doctor said that he weighs 9 oz, which is on the big side, but could be from ovulating early. I have gained about 9 lbs since my last appt about a month ago, wow, no wonder he is so big. We have thrown some names around, but coming to an agreement is kind of tough. When we know for sure I will definitely post it. 5 more months to go and then we finally get to meet him.

Looking at baby! You can see his eyes.

Oh, it's definately a boy!

Look at his little toes!

He almost looks like he is sucking his thumb like mommy used to do!

Christmas 09

We were able to go to Pocatello the weekend before Christmas to celebrate with Bob's family. We did our usual gift exchange and had fun hanging with the family. Christmas Eve we went over to my sister's house to have dinner and play games while my mom was in town. Christmas day we went to my dad's house and opened presents and had dinner. I love Christmas, but am so glad it's over. Bring on next year!

NHRA

Our whole reason for going to Las vegas was that we were going to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the NHRA. Bob's friend Israel, who works for the Army Motorsports, invited us to come down and experience the drag racing and to get some VIP treatment. We spent a lot of time in the Army tent where Tony Schumacher gave a speech and we got to watch his crew work on his dragster. We also had a good lunch and were given an army hat and dog tag, which we ended up having Tony sign one. We also had a chance to meet some other drivers, Cory Mcclenathan and "Fast Jack" Beckman. Jack took us on a tour of one of his trailers and explained to us about all the parts, members of his crew, and all the money that goes into a 3 second race. This was probably one of the funnest parts of our trip and can't wait to go to another race!

Las Vegas 2009

So Bob and I went to Las Vegas for Halloween weekend. Bob's friend Israel works for the Army Motorsports and invited us to come watch the NHRA drag racing with VIP passes. Vegas was lots of fun! We stayed at the Luxor Hotel. We did a lot of walking, which I wasn't very smart in my shoe selection and ended up with a big blister on my foot. My first time gambling I put $20 in the slot machine and won $150 and bob won about another $85. We lost a little bit and then won some more on black jack and ended up even. We didn't see any shows, but we did go on the rollercoaster at New York, New York, which was our favorite place to go while we were there. We were walking down the strip and saw some people dressed up in these outrageous costumes, so Bob thought it was be fun for me to get a picture. The guy in the red was so creepy and would hiss as Bob took the picture. It was really cool to see all the costumes in Vegas, but we only dressed up for about 30 minutes and went back to our room. Bob was a Yankee ball player and I was a Fire Girl. Too bad we didn't get pictures. Next time we go I for sure want to go see a show, but we did enjoy ourselves and were glad we had the oppurtunity.
